42 Hours

42 Hours can be expressed in many interesting ways. It is both a weeks work (42 hours), and a years work (42 weeks). It is also the key rhythm of 6 weeks (or 42 days), that a group undertakes to run a workshop.

We can call these a Hitchhiker Week (which is normal), and Hitchhiker Year (which is lazy), and a Hitchhiker Month (which makes no sense). In the spirit of hitchhiing time is both flexible and seriously applied.

As for my Pledge for this Year I will often put a lot more than 42 hours, but will describe it as such. Some weeks there will be more time, and others less. I will account for my time, in part to learn how to be more effective, as well as to share the expereince with others - for learning and to build confidence.
