Georgia Gould is a Labour Party politician and Member of Parliament for Queen’s Park & Maida Vale. She previously served as Leader of Camden Council, where she became known for pioneering citizen-led approaches to technology governance. As Camden Council leader, Gould initiated the **Camden Data Charter**, a framework co-created with residents through a citizens’ jury that explored how data and algorithms should be used ethically in local government. This made Camden the first UK council to embed deliberative participation directly into algorithmic policy. The project demonstrated how citizen assemblies could influence algorithmic transparency, fairness, and accountability, offering a model for democratic oversight of machine-learning systems used in public services. After entering Parliament, Gould has continued to advocate participatory and community-based approaches to AI policy and digital regulation, arguing that new technologies must serve social justice and civic trust.
