Living Guides

Living Guides are sibling projects to Living Stories: practical, evolving guides that capture how to do something in the world. They might describe how to run a reading circle, how to interview an elder, how to plant and track flower contributions, or how to set up a school story workshop.

Story Gardeners are essential here. They: - sit with practitioners to extract the steps of a process - help test draft guides with real users and fold in their feedback - keep guides updated as practices change, rather than freezing them in a single edition - make sure guides are readable by children, elders and busy adults alike

In this work they act as composters as well as gardeners, taking old experience, breaking it down, and feeding it into new growth.
