Modern web standards make it possible to do amazing things in the browser. By amazing we mean the type of visually advanced interface that was only reviously possible in desktop applications and games.
Importantly these new affordances and based on web standards, this means we can employ development strategies which are planned for the long term. This has implications for both the business strategy, empowering open source and community driven development, as well as the ability fo the project to deliver on the Manifesto.
