Each week a Hitchhiker should report their work. Manually such reports take from half a day, to a day to complete. This is too long.
We require and can clearly see the type f tooling that takes the productive activities of a Hitchhiker and automatically generates a report in minutes instaed of hours.
On this page I'll detail what this software is, and the progress in developing it, and rolling it out to all Hitchhikers. I expect is to be ready for testing with other travellers in January, but not to be fit for general consumption till September 2026.
# Wiki Page Snapshot The first tool I will build is based on previous work to summarize the last weeks work. Since Monday is a simple tool that show recent changes across teh neighborhood since last Monday. By combining this with a roster of an authors work related sites, we can visualise all the work entered as wiki pages over the last week.
We need to extend this to snapshot exactly what we want, and exclude other pages - then to visualise the quantity of work (time) is a visually plesing and functional way - allowing teh reader to review the detail of the work and other Hitchhikers to seek out collaboorations.
